Replacement M92T36 IC for Nintendo Switch motherboard. The M92T36 is the integrated circuit that controls the USB-C charging function and is mounted near the USB-C port on the motherboard. Relevant for issues where the console does not charge, is not recognized by the dock, or has intermittent charging problems after a short circuit or damage to the charging circuit.

Note that replacing the M92T36 does not guarantee that all charging problems will be resolved – the fault may also be caused by the USB-C port, the BQ24193 circuit, or other components on the motherboard. Always diagnose carefully before replacement.

Installation

Replacing the M92T36 requires advanced microsoldering directly on the motherboard, as well as disassembly of the console using Tri-Wing and Philips #00 screwdrivers. The work requires experience with BGA/QFN soldering and appropriate equipment (hot air gun, flux). Not recommended for inexperienced repair technicians. Tools not included.
